How to Apply for Accommodation
All social housing in Northern Ireland (except that which is let on a temporary
basis) is now governed by the Common Selection Scheme which has been approved
by the Department of Social Development.
To be housed by North and West
If you wish to apply to be housed by North and West you must complete an application
form. The form is the same for all landlords (N.I. Housing Executive or Housing
Association) and can be obtained from our main office at 17-20 Magazine Street,
any Housing Executive or other Housing Association office.
Completed forms can be returned to either our main office, any other Housing
Executive or Housing Association office.
What happens after submitting application form?
Housing Executive staff will visit you, assess your need and ensure that you
are registered on the waiting list as quickly as possible. You will be assessed
and awarded points according to your housing need. The number of points awarded
will determine your position on the waiting list.
Support and/or additional care services
Where an applicant needs support and/or additional care services a supported
housing scheme may be required. If this is the case you should inform the Housing
Executive and such applicants will be placed on a separate, non-pointed waiting
list.
While the majority of our accommodation is accessed through the Common Selection
Scheme, there are a number of variations to this:
